RAM 1500 Black Express is Loaded with Attitude

The fine folks at RAM Trucks have crafted a very impressive new RAM 1500. The interesting part about this new look 1500 is that it is only available in black. The new truck is aptly named the RAM 1500 Black Express and as one might have already guessed, it is covered in black from head to toe. The truck's 20-inch wheels, grille, body, and interior are all decked out in the only appropriate color. Another interesting point is that the typical RAM 1500 badging is absent from the body, most likely because it detracts from the black on black appearance.

The CEO of RAM Trucks, Reid Bigland discussed the new 1500's exemplary style, saying, "RAM Trucks are known for their bold, in-your-face presence. The new Black Express takes RAM's aggressive good looks to an all new sinister level by 'blackening out' the entire truck while maintaining a great pricepoint."1

Although the majority of the truck is coated black, there are a few features that were left alone. The taillights which according to motor vehicle law in the U.S., should be visible were left alone accept for black finishes. The same goes for the amber-colored turn signal LEDs and the headlights which are accented by black bezels.

The new 2013 RAM 1500 Black Express starts at a base MSRP of $29,995 along with an additional destination fee. Two and four-wheel drive are available as options, along with regular, crew and quad cab body styles.
